These talks were presented at the 61st AmSECT International Conference in Orlando, FL in March of 2023.

After completing the activities in this course, you will be able to:

1. Compare several options for monitoring anticoagulation on ECMO

2. Understand what parts of coagulation are evaluated by different lab tests

3. Explain the medical device approval process

4. Describe how the FDA is working to improve processes for the approval of ECMO devices

Expected time to complete this class: 50 minutes

Per the ABCP, a maximum of ten (10) SDCE I CEU’s may be used for professional activity recertification within a three-year reporting cycle. Members may submit additional Category III CEU’s.
